SEIDOR is Hiring – Cloud DevSecOps Engineer (Freelance)Brussels / European Institutions - On-site Role: Cloud DevSecOps EngineerWe are looking for an experienced Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to support one of our key European Commission projects. The selected consultant will join a high-impact environment, contributing to cloud operations, automation, security, and infrastructure optimization.️ ResponsibilitiesThe external service provider will perform the following tasks:Configure and administer cloud infrastructures and applications.Define configuration management and deployment strategies for cloud resources.Ensure availability and stability of cloud production environments.Develop and design automation scripts to orchestrate cloud and virtualization technologies (Operations-focused).Provide expert technical support to customers using Cloud Platform products, APIs, and solutions.Design and implement DevSecOps capabilities (observability, continuous monitoring, traceability).Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues related to cloud deployment infrastructure, databases, and middleware.Manage day-to-day deployment and maintenance activities.Analyse and tune information systems performance.Perform security administration and monitoring in alignment with European Commission security standards (under the supervision of the LISO). EducationMinimum qualification required:EQF Level 6 (Bachelor's degree or equivalent, typically 3 years). Required Knowledge & SkillsDeveloper background (Java, TypeScript, Git, Terraform, etc.)Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies.Proficiency in scripting languages for cloud infrastructure automation.Experience administering systems in virtualized cloud environments.Strong understanding of security, risk and compliance frameworks, DR/HA, OS and network fundamentals.Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructures from AWS, Azure, and other providers.Knowledge of middleware systems, messaging platforms, JEE, Linux, and RDBMS. Specific Mandatory Expertise4+ years operational expertise with AWS (Microsoft Azure is a strong plus) Includes provisioning, operation, monitoring 4+ years expertise with cloud services (compute, storage, network, managed services)4+ years expertise in IT infrastructure administration & configuration (Windows, Linux, Network, Security, Storage) 4+ years experience building and supporting SaaS cloud services4+ years experience with Automation & IaC (Infrastructure as Code), configuration management & deployment scripting (CLI) CertificationsMandatory:AWS Associate-level certificationDeveloper Associate OR Solutions Architect AssociateIf the certification is missing but the expertise is validated, the consultant must obtain it within 6 months of starting the assignment.
