Thales Belgium SA, the competence center of Thales in Belgium, is located on two sites: one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, employing more than 280 collaborators, specializes in the design, development, and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber), and Aerospace.
Mission:
As a Customer Support Engineer, you will be a member of the Customer Support & Service team at Thales Belgium for the Herstal site, dealing with weapon systems and ammunition. You will serve both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for leading after-sales projects and ensuring operational monitoring. Additionally, you will handle various customer support requests such as training, technical assistance, investigations, repairs, and firing campaigns.
Main Responsibilities:
- Customer support & after-sales coordination: Manage the complete service delivery processes from customer needs qualification to project realization. Serve as the interface between the customer and internal stakeholders required to deliver services (Engineering, production, quality, logistics). Interact daily with customers to respond to their requests and ensure that our equipment and solutions are well deployed and used. Detect new opportunities and propose related technical solutions and commercial offers. Support Bid & Project Managers in addressing Customer Support and After-sales topics.
- Services operational provision: Provide technical assistance and expertise to support our internal and external customers. Conduct training courses for customers worldwide. Coordinate various stakeholders during firing campaigns abroad for Program and After Sales services.
Profile:
What makes you the perfect Customer Support Engineer?
- You are graduated in Electro-mechanical engineering; a double cursus in Engineering/Management is an asset.
- You are hands-on, flexible, pragmatic, and customer-oriented.
- You have knowledge of pyrotechnical products or are eager to learn more about them.
- You are comfortable in a technical environment and eager to practice.
- You are autonomous and rigorous.
- You are able to work in matrix teams and are a real team player.
- You speak both French and English (German is an asset).
- You are willing to travel abroad frequently.
