With Wolt's growth and expansion into new business areas comes also increasingly complex and broad regulatory frameworks. That's why we are now looking for a Senior Manager, EU Public Policy to join our EU policy team. In this role, you will focus on digital policy and as needed other policy areas. Beyond policy work, you'll strive together with the EU policy team to ensure policymakers recognise Wolt as a relevant and approachable European tech champion. You represent Wolt vis-a-vis EU policymakers, industry associations, and other stakeholders. You will also coordinate with Wolt colleagues in other teams, including Legal and Product. The role is part of the Policy team and reports to the Head of EU Public Policy. The role is based in Brussels.
You have a fearless can-do attitude and you are eager to learn as you go. You feel at home at the intersection of law, politics, and business. You will have areas of responsibility with high degrees of autonomy and ownership.
What You'll Be Doing- Leading Wolt's EU Public Policy work on digital policy and platform regulation
- Engaging with EU policymakers at all levels and briefing, preparing, and advising Wolt leadership on all EU policy matters
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and assessing their impact on our business
- Coordinating with other teams internally (in particular legal and comms), aligning with relevant global teams, and feeding into internal strategy processes
- Developing engagement strategies, company positions, materials, and policy proposals
- Planning and executing advocacy campaigns in partnership with relevant internal partners
- Working with relevant external partners (agencies, trade associations, other platform operators, think tanks, etc.)
- Proactively and independently assessing and deciding on any actions that help us to make sure our voice is heard in relevant processes
- 8-10 years of public policy experience in an agency, in-house, or government role
- Master's degree in law, public policy, political science, or similar
- Solid experience in leading engagements in EU policy processes
- Ability to represent the company at the highest levels of decision-making
- Brilliant mind with the ability to think strategically and develop creative and constructive policy proposals
- Analytical mindset to effectively weigh risks and payoffs in a number of scenarios
- Fluent in English and at least one further additional European language
- Willingness to travel
