Freelance DevOps Engineer - Greenfield Project - Long TermWe are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a large-scale greenfield project focused on designing and upgrading a modern Kubernetes-based container platform. This role is highly hands-on and will involve building, upgrading, and optimising container infrastructure from the ground up, using DevOps and automation best practices.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters in a greenfield environment.Plan and execute Kubernetes version upgrades and platform modernisation.Improve cluster scalability, performance, and reliability.Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes-native tooling.Implement CI/CD pipelines for container build, test, and deployment.Work with Git-based workflows and DevOps best practices.Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or similar.Automate cluster provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.Reduce manual intervention by introducing repeatable, automated processes.Implement Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, secrets management, network policies).Support platform observability, monitoring, and logging.Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.Additional Details:START DATE: ASAPDURATION: Long termCONTRACT: FreelanceONSITE POLICY: Full time (one day in Antwerp)HOURS PER WEEK: Full timeLANGUAGES: English and DutchINTERVIEW PROCESS: One stageIf you are interested or know anyone who could be a good fit please send your CV to matthew@Kodastaff.com
