Role
The E&I Site Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Port of Antwerp. You will oversee electrical and instrumentation activities on industrial project sites, ensuring the work is carried out safely, on schedule, and in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards.

Day to day you will:
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers
- Review engineering drawings and documentation
- Supervise installation and commissioning activities
- Perform inspections and tests on E&I systems
- Support troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Prepare site reports and contribute to progress meetings with project stakeholders
Close collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams is key to smooth site execution and alignment with client requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in electrical and instrumentation engineering, including industrial E&I systems, standards and best practices
- Experience in site supervision or field engineering for industrial projects (ports, petrochemical, manufacturing or energy facilities)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams and engineering documentation
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and site HSE procedures, with a commitment to safe work practices
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving ability, attention xirbnpk to detail and a proactive approach to resolving site issues
- Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Previous experience in or around a port or heavy industrial environment is an advantage
- Proficiency in English, additional regional language skills are a plus
Eligibility
- EU or EEA citizenship, or a valid work permit that allows legal employment in Belgium (A1 posting)
- Willingness to work on-site at the Port of Antwerp and adapt to changing project requirements
