Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a leading global developer, producer, and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.
DENV serves as Daikin’s sales, R&D, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East, and Africa, with offices in Brussels, Ghent, and Ostend, along with multiple production plants and sales subsidiaries across the EMEA region.
The department
The EMEA Development Control department is part of Daikin's European Development Centre, responsible for supporting development groups through:
- Planning and requirement setting for new product development projects
- Resource (budget, labor) planning and follow-up
- Monitoring, visualizing, and reporting the planning and execution of development projects
- Guaranteeing and improving internal processes and systems
- Creating installation and operating instructions for our products
- Learning and communication
The job location is in Ghent, in a brand-new R&D building, with occasional visits to our Brussels and Ostend offices.
The role
You will share responsibilities for the documentation of products developed in DENV EDC, ensuring quality, cost, and timely delivery. You will act as a bridge between product development teams and technical writers, illustrators, translation companies, and other stakeholders.
Your involvement will include:
- Project management (planning and follow-up)
- Technical writing & illustrations
- Translation management
- Publication processes (print, online)
- Internal knowledge management
- Process & systems improvement
Your profile
- You obtained a master's degree;
- You have several years of experience in business (process & systems) improvement projects; experience in digital transformation project management is a strong plus;
- Strong interest in technical documentation is required;
- Experience with specific software packages is not mandatory, but knowledge of CCMS and/or graphical tools (such as Adobe Illustrator) is an asset;
- You have an analytical mindset and attention to detail;
- You are comfortable with administrative tasks;
- You possess excellent communication skills;
- You are fluent in English; knowledge of another European language is a plus;
