The Corporate Planning division, located in Brussels, consists of several departments: The corporate planning department in charge of Group Controlling & Daikin Europe controlling, the Business Analytics department, and the Internal controls & J-Sox department.

The division is responsible for drilling down the strategy into annual budgets and realizing the group targets. This is done in cooperation with all sales and manufacturing entities, as well as with other departments in Daikin Europe. As a backbone for group-wide reporting, the department takes care of the management of the sales-, margin-, and pricing data, as well as collecting and reporting market intelligence. Our mission is to safeguard and manage profitability, via periodic reporting to top-management, close follow-up and by proposing countermeasure actions.

Furthermore, the division is responsible for the development and implementation of corporate governance and internal controls in the group (e.g. J-SOx and system access).

The vacancy is in the Business Analytics Department.

Function
  • You will be involved in SAP roll-outs at our daughter companies. You will propose & implement changes to improve the controlling function within our group.
  • You will discuss changes requested by the business and translate this together with the IT Center into SAP/PowerBI solutions. You translate the business requirements towards IT so they can provide working IT solutions, bringing added value to the business.
  • You will be involved in the roll-out of Sales & Service software package at our daughter companies. During these projects, you will mainly focus on controlling in SAP and interfaces with other applications, as well as the reporting track in PowerBI.
  • You will be involved in the set-up of new reporting dashboards in PowerBI across EMEA organization. In the dashboard, you will combine all related operational tools.
  • You work together with a wide range of stakeholders that all have different requirements; you are able to set priorities, manage expectations, and communicate accordingly. Your ideas on how to further improve our setup will create added value.
  • You will identify improvement opportunities and lead projects to implement processes and solutions that will bring added value and efficiencies to the company.
Your profile
  • You have a Master's degree in business economics, finance, or controlling.
  • You already have extended experience in a similar role as business controller or SAP key-user, or extended experience in an analytical position.
  • You have user experience of SAP modules SD, FI, and CO. Technical knowledge on SAP set-up in FI and CO is an asset.
  • You are prepared to travel abroad (15% of your time) and/or to the Oostkamp office (Accounting & IT) if projects or meetings require this.
  • You work accurately, have the ability to dig into the details without losing the helicopter view.
  • You possess excellent analytical skills and demonstrate good communication skills.
  • You are a team player but you're also able to work independently.
  • You are result-driven with a strong focus on improvements.
  • Very good knowledge of English both written and spoken.
