We're working with a forward-thinking SaaS company in Ghent who are seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer to optimize the backbone of its renewable energy platform. This company is dedicated to providing digital solutions that accelerate the transition to clean energy for large-scale business across the Benelux.You will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure to support a high-performance SaaS platform. This role requires deep expertise in Kubernetes, as well as experience in data or infrastructure engineering. You will work closely with software engineers and data teams to ensure a resilient, high-availability environment for real-time data processing.ResponsibilitiesDesign and manage scalable, cloud-native infrastructure for data pipelines and StorageDeploy and optimize Kubernetes clusters for efficient resource managementEnsure high security of data infrastructureWork with Kafka to build real-time data streaming capabilitiesAutomate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using GIT-based CI/CD pipelinesCollaborate with software and data engineers to optimize performanceLeverage Google Cloud (GCP) services for cloud-based data solutions Your profileProven experience as a Data Engineer or Infrastructure EngineerStrong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, monitoring)Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud (GCP)Familiarity with Kafka for real-time data streamingKnowledge of GIT and CI/CD best practicesAbility to optimize infrastructure for high performance and cost efficiencyA passion for renewable energy and sustainable technology (a plus) OfferBetween €4.000-€6.500 dependent on experience and interview processFlexible hybrid working model with a new office in GhentWorking on a genuinely impactful application in the renewable energy sectorChance for rapid career progressionFull benefits package including car and stock options
