Job DescriptionAs an Active Directory expert, you will join the European Active Directory (AD) Domain Administrator Support Team, based in Ghent Belgium. Your main responsibility will be to manage and support our EMEA wide Active Directory domain and services in all its facets, making sure they are always running in good health, secure and up to date. You will work with a diverse and dynamic team of IT professionals who share a common vision and mission to deliver the best IT services to our customers and stakeholders.
You will provide timely and efficient support for assigned operations and address troubleshooting AD / LDAP authentication and authorization issues. Furthermore, you assist in the management and support of DNS service, name resolution issues, and requests. Additionally, you help in managing the Certificate Authority Service and facilitate an advisory role on application SSOs using AD Federated Services. In this position you support L1 and L2 teams dealing with AD-related issues and inquiries.
Your responsibilities also extend to monitoring and auditing the complete AD environment, implementing AD security measures, and ensuring the Domain Controllers are running the latest version of Windows. You implement business-driven changes and integrate AD management tools, services, and applications. By analyzing the current AD environment, you identify technical and operational challenges and propose solutions for improvement. Continuously seeking opportunities to improve the existing AD architecture, you independently lead large-scale AD and Identity Management projects. Collaboration with senior staff is key in resolving escalated, complex incidents, handling communications between the EU and Global AD leaders, and ensuring European and Global AD tasks and requests are being actioned.

You’ll have knowledge and experience of the following:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a relevant equivalent
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of experience with managing large scale Active Directory environments and related services, such as DNS, CA, ADFS, NPS, DHCP, LDAP(S), GPO, Kerberos & Windows authentication
- Hands-on experience with AD Domain migrations and Domain Controller installations, configurations and upgrades
- Solid ITIL service management & SLA reporting experience
- Experience in managing 3rd parties and vendors
- Fluent in English and Dutch
