Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for a Global Electricity Expert to join its team.

As a Global Electricity Expert at Vulcain Engineering Belgium, you will work on projects in the biotech or pharmaceutical industries, from process design to commissioning, and be involved in all phases of a project according to your interests.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

• Act as the global technical expert for electrical engineering, with a focus on low- and medium-voltage systems and power distribution.
• Support major international CAPEX engineering projects from feasibility and conceptual design through project execution.
• Define, develop and maintain global electrical engineering standards, specifications, guidelines and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to engineering teams, project teams, design offices and external engineering partners.
• Review electrical designs and technical documentation to ensure compliance with EHS, cGxP, company procedures and good engineering practices.
• Contribute to electrical safety initiatives, physical asset protection programs and OT-related activities.
• Support engineering projects in international environments, particularly across Europe and the United States.
• Monitor industry trends, benchmark engineering practices and contribute to digitalization and innovation initiatives within electrical engineering.
• Build and maintain a global network of internal and external electrical engineering experts.

ABOUT YOU:

• Master's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
• 8 to 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally within complex industrial, pharmaceutical, biotech or regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in low- and medium-voltage systems, electrical equipment and power distribution.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale CAPEX and engineering projects, including feasibility and conceptual design phases.
• Experience acting as a technical expert, Subject Matter Expert, Technical Lead or engineering reference.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical standards, engineering guidelines and best practices.
• Fluency in French and English is mandatory, both written and spoken.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills in an international, matrix environment.
• Knowledge of U.S. electrical standards and regulations, including NFPA/NEC, is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of NIS2, ISO 27001, OT environments and physical security systems is a plus.
• Experience with EPC/EPCM projects and high-voltage systems is an advantage.
