Quantity Surveyor

Who are we?

We are TRS Staffing Solutions, an international project sourcing agency, specialized in supporting the oil, gas, energy, chemical, industrial construction, and life sciences sectors.

For our external client we are currently recruiting a talented and experienced Senior CSA Quantity Surveyor to join our ambitious team working on a Hyperscale Data Centre project in Belgium. What will you do?

• Administer payments to subcontractors and suppliers by reviewing submissions in terms of their contracts.
• Ensure control of client invoicing by submission of invoices and tracking of payment etc.
• Prepare cash flow by analyzing the timing of billings and costs.
• Assist in preparation of project CCS by analyzing the tender and project requirements.
• Validate tender following award of project with the Project Manager/Director.
• Where applicable, carry out site measures with Construction and Planning Teams in accordance with contractual procedures.
• Monitor site procurement on receipt of regular reports.
• Identify if material purchases are scope or variation to the budget.
• Ensure timely submission of claims/notices in accordance with provisions of contract.
• Ensure that areas of concern are highlighted relating to contract costs, sales, and contribution.
• Resolve disputes in relation to client / subcontractor issues.
• Draft pre- and post-contract correspondence in consultation with the Project Manager/Director.
• Prepare reports on commercial and contractual issues for the Project and Commercial Managers.
• Compile monthly reports in accordance with the Group standard procedures.
• Liaise closely with the Financial Department on project reporting and financials.
• Ensure that you attend monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings.

Who are we looking for?

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management or equivalent.
• 5-10 years' experience in Quantity Surveying in the construction industry.
• Solid knowledge of Mechanical Systems.
• Data Centre experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Working towards chartership or professional Quantity Surveying Certification is desirable.
• Proficiency in English language (French is a plus but not mandatory)
