Job Title: Freelance Finance Officer Rate: Competitive in line with skills / experienceType: Contract Location: Hybrid (Bruges) My client a global organization currently seek several Finance Offices to join on an initial 2 year contract in this role you will support operational finance activities with a strong focus on budget control, financial accuracy, and stakeholder collaboration.This role sits close to the business and FP&A, providing critical oversight of budgets, variances, and financial data integrity across asset or compound-aligned cost areas.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage operational finance activitiesEnsure budget accuracy, control, and visibilityPerform variance analysis and challenge assumptions behind numbersSupport budget reviews and negotiations with SMEs at month-endMaintain financial data integrity across systemsEnsure PO creation and controlManage and monitor SOCsWork closely with FP&A as a key stakeholderUse Power BI dashboards for financial insights (no heavy dashboard development required)Conduct monthly internal stakeholder catch-upsApply an audit-style mindset to review budgeting practices and financial controlsRequired Experience & SkillsProven experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or auditing rolesStrong background in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisAbility to question numbers, identify risks, and think criticallyComfortable working close to the business and challenging stakeholders constructivelyStrong systems and data accuracy mindsetExperience in asset- or cost-centre–aligned finance is an advantageExperience with Oracle/Power BI and Power QueryInterested?
