For one of our clients in the Brugges region, we are looking for a new employee Job opening: Senior Freight Forwarder (Zeebrugge) Your Role For one of our clients, active in quay-to-quay and door-to-door logistics solutions, we are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder. The focus is on road transport (LTL/FTL) using third-party equipment (no owned fleet). You will work closely with Sales, manage gross margin, negotiate rates, and develop your own "service menu." In addition, you will monitor market developments, work with freight platforms (such as Transporeon, TimoCom, Trans.eu), and provide input for reports and business cases. The client mainly operates in the Benelux, France, Portugal, Spain, Germany, and Poland. Key Responsibilities Proactive interaction with internal and external suppliers regarding rates and possibilities Actively monitoring the market and services Optimising transport operations Cost control & analysis Working in accordance with internal guidelines regarding legislation and procedures Assisting in preparing reports or business cases for management Various projects Your Profile You have / know a large network of carriers across Europe At least 5 years of experience in a similar role Excellent command of English, in addition to Dutch Proactive and takes initiative Motivated, results-driven & pragmatic We Offer An interesting full-time position in a pleasant and dynamic working environment A competitive salary, supplemented with attractive fringe benefits such as meal vouchers and group insurance Plenty of opportunities to grow and further develop within the role and within our international organisation Flexible working hours (start between 7:30 am and 10:00 am) About the Company The company was founded in the early 20th century and provides reliable, cost-effective transport connecting Europe's largest economic regions.
