ELECTRONIC DESIGN ENGINEER - ROESELARE (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONThe Electronics Design Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating electronics design projects from concept through delivery, ensuring that internal requirements are fully understood and met by external design partners. This role focuses on planning, tracking, and facilitating the progress of projects executed by third-party design houses, while acting as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external teams.The Project Engineer ensures that project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are achieved, risks are proactively managed, and communication across cross-functional teams, including R&D, Mechanical, Production, Quality, and Procurement, is clear and effective. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable project plans and monitor progress against them.Key ResponsibilitiesManage electronics design projects executed by third-party design houses, ensuring alignment with internal objectives, timelines, and budgetsDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocationMonitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation plansEnsure timely delivery of project documentation, prototypes, and final design outputsAct as the main point of contact between internal stakeholders and external design teamsTranslate internal functional requirements into clear, actionable specifications for third-party designersCoordinate regular project updates, meetings, and reviews with stakeholdersEnsure stakeholder expectations are managed and requirements are fully captured and validatedEnsure that external designs comply with technical, quality, and regulatory requirementsTrack progress on design verification, testing, and validation activitiesSupport the review of technical deliverables, including design documentation, schematics, and test reportsQualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related fieldProven experience managing electronics design projects, preferably involving third-party design housesStrong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and reportingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate between internal teams and external partnersStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyUnderstanding of electronics design processes, documentation, and validation/testing practicesFamiliarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar)The Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
