We are a startup that has truly made its mark

Over the past years, we've developed solutions for clients such as Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Medi-Market, Burger King, Quick, IKEA, DEME, Proximus, Orange, D'Ieteren, VDAB and Hooyberghs. And recently we even built a Digital Twin of European airspace for EUROCONTROL, that can be used both on desktop and in XR The walkthrough video of that project serves a great example of our work.

We design, build and integrate our software into the client's ecosystem using hyper-innovative technologies. What will be your responsibilities?

  • You realize 3D Unity visualizations and .NET solutions as part of our applications, tailor-made to the needs of our customers.
  • You build visually beautiful and performant solutions based on provided wireframes and designs, according to modern standards and tailored towards the needs of end users.
  • You follow architectural designs and input laid out by our software architect and lead developer, filling in the smaller details and structuring the codebase optimally yourself.
  • You ensure good user experience for the end-user in all your solutions, together with our designer and UX architect.
  • You come up with innovative 'Proof-of-Concepts' within the business world of our customers and the domain of Digital Twins.
  • You monitor the aspects surrounding privacy, security and authentication in our projects.
  • For all of this you work directly with your colleagues in a close-knit team.

Who are you?

Four (4) to eight (8) years of professional experience with recent versions of Unity, the .NET standard library, and C#.

Unity:

  • Solid understanding of recent Unity versions (Unity 2022.3 and 6): GameObjects, materials, models, meshes, etc...
  • Integrating Unity packages in Unity projects comes easily to you.
  • Knowledge of XR-/VR-specific concepts, such as spatial anchors, alignment, composition layers, etc...
  • Knowledge of multiplayer concepts; e.g. Unity Netcode for GameObjects.

.NET:

  • Solid understanding of the .NET standard library and C# language features.
  • Understanding of how to program asynchronously using Tasks and async / await.
  • Basic understanding of how .NET assemblies work (together).
  • Understanding of OOP design patterns and design principles.
  • Understanding of dependency injection and service containers.

General:

  • Good knowledge of the Git version control system and the workflows it can support.
  • Sufficient understanding of the GDPR and security to take appropriate measures into account as developer.
  • Knowledge of or interest in other programming languages and paradigms is a plus.
  • You thrive in a young team that is open-minded and passionate about tech.
  • You communicate fluently both orally and in writing, in Dutch and English.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with integrating (non-Unity) native .NET SDKs in Unity projects.
  • Knowledge of optimizing Unity applications; e.g. profiling, shader GPU-instancing, batching, etc...
  • Knowledge of ECS / Unity DOTS.
  • Direct familiarity with WebGL, Vulkan, OpenGL, WebGPU, and Direct3D 12.
  • Interest in or knowledge of other 3D engines and frameworks than Unity.
  • Familiarity with writing automated tests.
  • Knowledge of how containers work and how to build them.
  • Understanding of the most common vulnerabilities and how to avoid them.
