« VIE - JUNIOR LEGAL COUNSEL BELGIUM » (m/f/d)

The conditions for undertaking a V.I.E:

To become an International Intern in a Company, you must fulfil the following conditions:

• Be aged at least 18 but not yet 29: you must be 28 when you start your assignment, bearing in mind that a V.I.E contract always starts on the 1st of the month.
• Be French or a European citizen.
• Be in good standing with regard to the national service obligations of your country(ies) (defense ID n°).
• Have a clean criminal record.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide legal support (legal added value) such as legal advice and reviewing and drafting agreements, identify legal risks in projects and identify possible solutions ;
• Join internal business meetings and, when appropriate, negotiation with third parties ;
• Stay up-to-date on regulatory and law changes ;
• Identify, develop and deliver legal trainings to the business ;
• Collaborate with other Legal team members and exchange on best practices ;
• Manage litigations and monitor law firm costs ;
• Draft reports on legal cases to management ;

Education :

• You possess a Law degree in French law, preferably with distinction

Key competencies and skills:

• You are fluent in both written and spoken English and French. Fluency in Dutch will be an asset.

• You are a team player, proactive and have excellent communication skills and you are eager to learn and to become familiar with international industrial environment with focus on innovation to boost sustainability

• Experience in working with a law firm or in a legal advisory role in an international organization in the area pof Commercial, Sales, investments, Joint-VentureC contracts.

• Experience in drafting commercial agreements for customers or suppliers or clients who are internationally active.

• You are eager to learn and to develop new legal reflexes

• Contract: 1-year VIE contract, with renewable for an additional 12 months
