Senior Java Developer (Full Stack)
Join our growing development team in Belgium and work on complex, enterprise-grade software for international clients across the EU and UK.
You will work closely with project managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on modern technologies, solving real business problems, and contributing to end-to-end product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Java and modern frontend technologies
- Build and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and business logic
- Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements
- Participate in system architecture, technical design, and code reviews
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
- Ensure code quality, performance, security, and scalability
- Integrate third-party services, APIs, and databases where required
- Work closely with QA teams to support testing and issue resolution
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Java development
- Good understanding of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and RESTful API development
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding practices
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and web services
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with Hibernate / JPA
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and frontend testing tools
- Exposure to DevOps practices and deployment automation
- Proficiency in French and/or Dutch would be considered a strong advantage
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Relevant professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, Java Developer, or similar role
