System Engineer (End User Computing with Power Platform Focus) - CDI

Microsoft System Engineer with a focus on End User Computing applications like Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint.

The engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-user computing environment within the organization.
This role involves ensuring the availability, performance, and security of end-user applications, with a strong emphasis on leveraging the Power Platform for business process automation and data analysis. The main goal is to guide the organisation with frameworks and standards .
Occasional development can occur to help out business departments.
Besides the end user computing focus the team delivers support for databases. Interest in database administration is a major plus.
The engineer will work in an assurance environment, emphasizing a people-centric approach to support and collaboration.

Technical Skills

Must have or willing to invest: Power Platform : Proficiency in creating and managing power platform components, including development, data modeling and DAX to support business.
Database admin : Interest in database administration for day-to-day operations.
Excel VBA : Knowledge of Excel VBA for automating tasks and enhancing Excel functionality.
Database admin : Interest in database administration for day-to-day operations.
Third-Party Integrations : Understanding of integrating third-party applications and services
SharePoint Online : Experience with SharePoint Online administration, including site creation, permissions management, and content management.

Soft Skills

Must Have: Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with users and stakeholders.
Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Customer Service Orientation : A people-centric approach to support, ensuring user satisfaction and positive experiences.
Team Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments to achieve common goals.
Adaptability : Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies and environments.
Nice to Have: Project Management : Basic project management skills to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Training and Mentoring : Ability to train and mentor junior staff or end-users on Microsoft 365 features and best practices.
Time Management : Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Attention to Detail : Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in all tasks.
