General Manager

OVERVIEW Working as Full-Time General Manager , you will be responsible for all aspects of the branch business. Support responsibilities may include purchasing, receiving, packing orders, deliveries, sourcing and inventory management as needed to assure success of the business. This position is for our branch located in the region Arlon - Bastogne, Belgium.RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Developing and executing a business plan in a local territory to reach and exceed business goals Hiring & developing the team to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goals Ensuring a high-level service for existing and new customers Demonstrating excellence in business to business selling on a daily basis Demonstrating operation excellence Effectively communicating business statistics and progress toward goals to motivate the performance of others Modeling and promoting career opportunities to personnel Developing and training others to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goals REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed Possess a degree in Business/Marketing OR have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French Proficient computer skills Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to motivate others Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork Ability to lift, slide, carry and lower packages on a regular basis PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Possess at least one year of Fastenal or related sales experience Prior managerial experience and product knowledge Written and oral communication skills in Dutch and German WHAT WE OFFER A diverse and challenging position with room for own input and initiative A career within a fast-moving organization Working in an international environment Motivating and competitive salary Development through the Fastenal School of Business #J-18808-Ljbffr
