IntroductionFor our client we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Lead to oversee clean and black utilities systems for a major pharmaceutical construction project in Belgium. This role requires expertise in mechanical systems design, installation, and commissioning within regulated pharmaceutical environments.FunctionLead mechanical package design and execution for clean utilities (WFI, purified water, clean steam, HVAC)Oversee black utilities systems (compressed air, nitrogen, vacuum, waste treatment)Manage contractor coordination and ensure compliance with GMP regsReview P&IDs, equipment specifications, and installation proceduresCoordinate with project management, process engineering, and qualityEnsure adherence to project timeline, budget, and quality standardsLead commissioning, qualification, and validation activitiesInterface with regulatory authorities and client representativesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field8+ years experience in pharmaceutical/biotech facility constructionStrong knowledge of GMP and relevant standardsExperience with clean utilities design and commissioningPrevious package lead experience on large-scale pharma projectsKnowledge of Belgian building codes and permitting processesUnderstanding of process validation and CSV requirementsFluent in English; Dutch/French language skills preferredValid EU work authorizationOfferProject contract: +/-1 year
