'ICT for society' is voor Smals meer dan een slogan: alle projecten hebben een positieve maatschappelijke impact. Zo bouwt Smals mee aan het portaal van de sociale zekerheid en het eHealth-platform. Grensverleggende projecten zijn ons werkterrein: Student@Work, Orgadon, digitalisering van medische voorschriften, raadpleging van de historiek van je loopbaan, snellere doorstroming van testresultaten naar je huisarts... Als Database Engineer zorg je voor de beschikbaarheid van de systemen, installeer je de Oracle- en Postgres-databases en voorzie je hier back-ups voor. Tevens neem je deel aan databaseprojecten. Hiervoor werk je nauw samen met het netwerkteam en de ontwikkelaars. Meer concreet sta je in voor: - De opzet en het beheer van databaseomgevingen (Linux – Postgres – Oracle) met inbegrip van de uitvoering van releases. Kennis van Kubernetes en Docker is essentieel. - Het opzetten van een back-upomgeving (Commvault) voor deze omgevingen. - Het laten evolueren van deze platformen door updates en upgrades te voorzien. - Oplossingen uitwerken voor de projecten die ontwikkeld worden binnen de organisatie: keuze van technologie, sizing (CPU, diskspace,…), opzet, operationele opvolging (uitbreidingen, back-up, restore,…). Je beschikt over een bachelor in de informatica of equivalente ervaring en hebt minimum 2 jaar ervaring in het beheer van databaseomgevingen. Je hebt een goede kennis van Linux, Kubernetes en Docker en bent vertrouwd met het beheer van Postgres- en Oracle-databases. Je bent resultaatsgericht en toont verantwoordelijkheidszin. Je beschikt over een goed leervermogen en bent bereid je kennis voortdurend uit te breiden. Je werkt autonoom maar bent ook een goede teamplayer. Tot slot communiceer je vlot in het Frans. - Je krijgt een gevarieerde, uitdagende en maatschappelijk relevante job waarbij je bijdraagt aan IT-oplossingen die een belangrijke rol spelen in de samenleving.
