Join Our Team as a Direct Tax Expert Are you a skilled tax professional with a passion for digital innovation? We are seeking a full-time Direct Tax Expert to join our central team (location in La Hulpe, Belgium) on a full-time basis. This profile combines International and Belgian Direct Tax expertise with an emphasis on digital competency, capable of leveraging technology to drive efficiencies in the tax function.

In this role, you will:- Blend Expertise and Technology: Utilize your tax reporting, consulting, and technology skills in a dynamic international setting. You get access to continuous learning and development programs to further enhance your skills and advance your career;
- Drive Global Tax Initiatives: Be a key player in our Tax Center of Excellence, leading global tax challenges and solutions. Take advantage of opportunities to lead projects and initiatives, positioning yourself for future leadership roles;
- Shape the Future: Help shape the future of our tax function, aligning with our strategic and business goals;
- Collaborate with Experts: Benefit from working alongside senior tax experts and report directly to the Head of Tax and senior management, ensuring you have the support and guidance to foster your professional growth.
- You have a Master degree in Law or Economics with an additional master in Tax.
- You have at least 3-5 years of working experience in a (Big 4) consultancy firm or in-house position in corporate income tax (reporting).
- You are fluent in English both written and spoken. The knowledge of French/Dutch is a plus.
- You are tech-savvy and have experiences in the implementation of digital transformation projects within the tax function.
- Analytical Expertise: Demonstrate strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel. Leverage your experience with AI and RPA technologies to drive efficiencies within the tax function.
- Collaborative Team Player: Thrive in a team environment, working collaboratively across various teams in an international organization. Adapt seamlessly to a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
- Critical and Detail-Oriented: Possess a critical mindset that challenges traditional methods. Exercise sound judgment, attentive to details but being capable of maintaining a big-picture perspective.
- Positive and Driven: Bring a positive attitude and a proactive approach to business activities and processes. Actively participate in driving change and improving performance.
- Provide expert Tax advice: Conduct thorough direct tax analysis and computations, offering strategic recommendations to ensure our group's compliance with direct tax regulations. You'll play a key role in adhering to our tax risk and control policies.
- Drive Innovation in Tax Projects: Contribute to exciting tax projects and bring innovative ideas to the table, leveraging technology to enhance our tax processes.
- Ensure Seamless Tax Compliance: Oversee the end-to-end direct tax compliance process and manage tax closing projects under the guidance of a senior expert. Collaborate closely with our compliance provider and internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Support Our Clients and Business: Act as the first line of support for customers and business units, providing expert advice on tax documentation and addressing frequently asked questions.
- Be a Team Player: Offer backup support to your tax colleagues as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment and at the same time taking on opportunity to learn on other tax domains like transfer pricing and indirect taxes.
