OT Security Expert | Operational Technology | ICS / SCADA & PLC Security | Build an OT Security Function Across Global ManufacturingSalary: Up to €140,000 + bonus + benefitsLocation: Buggenhout, Belgium (hybrid)Sponsorship is not available for this roleThe RoleThis is a foundational OT security hire.You'll take full ownership of operational technology security across a global manufacturing estate, defining how production environments are protected today, and how they scale securely tomorrow. Starting as a hands-on individual contributor, you'll set the strategy, governance, and technical controls that underpin OT security across multiple plants, with a clear runway to build and lead a dedicated function over time.This role sits at the intersection of production, engineering, and security. You'll be trusted to design controls that genuinely reduce risk without disrupting uptime, safety, or throughput.You WillOwn the OT security roadmap end-to-end across multiple manufacturing sitesDefine the OT security operating model, including governance, policies, standards, and service levelsSecure industrial environments spanning PLCs, ICS/SCADA systems, production networks, and industrial applicationsDesign and improve secure data flows between manufacturing systems and production platformsLead OT resilience, continuity, disaster recovery, and failover planning to minimise shutdown riskAct as the central OT security authority, guiding local site coordinators and driving consistent executionPlan and deliver physical and technical security audits across 10+ production sitesNon-NegotiablesProven ownership of OT security in industrial environments (manufacturing, logistics, utilities, defence, or similar)Hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial control systems, including real plant-floor exposureStrong understanding of non-IP networks and industrial protocols, and how they shape security designExperience building OT security capability from scratch: strategy, governance, and practical controlsComfortable operating within large, complex, multi-site organisationsWhat You'll Work WithOT security strategy and governance (greenfield build)PLC environments, ICS/SCADA systems, and production machineryIndustrial hardware, site-level routing, and manufacturing network topologiesVendor-led OT estates (e.g. Honeywell and similar industrial platforms)Continuity planning, resilience engineering, and production risk reductionNice to HavesExperience rolling out OT security across multiple countries or regionsBackground in physical security assessments within industrial sitesFamiliarity with OT security frameworks, with a pragmatic, production-first mindsetWhy JoinThis is a high-impact, board-backed role where outcomes are visible and measurable.
