Role: Project Safety Coordinator – West & East Flanders Advanced Service
Start date: 01-10-2026
End date: 31-12-2027
Type: Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week + visit to different sites
We are seeking an experienced Project Safety Coordinator for a 15-month full-time contract assignment covering infrastructure and high-voltage projects across West and East Flanders, with headquarters in Brussels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as Design and Execution Safety Coordinator for high-voltage infrastructure projects in accordance with the Royal Decree of 25 January 2001.
• Perform and validate risk assessments, identify site-specific hazards, and approve Safety and Health Plans for tender documentation.
• Open and maintain coordination logbooks, post-intervention files, and conduct contractor bid safety evaluations.
• Conduct regular site visits/audits across West and East Flanders, ensuring compliance with well-being and operational safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and Prevention Advisors on intrinsic electrical safety and initial commissioning approvals.
Requirements (Mandatory):
• Valid Level A Safety Coordinator Certificate (Royal Decree 25/01/2001).
• Industrial Engineer or Civil Engineer in Electromechanics (or equivalent experience).
• ~5 years of experience in project/site supervision & industrial safety prevention (preferably high-voltage electrical installations).
• Professional liability insurance as a Safety Coordinator.
• Valid Category B driving license and own vehicle.
• Strong command of Dutch, French, and English.
Preferred:
• Prevention Advisor Level 1 certification.
Work Schedule & Location:
• Location: Brussels HQ + sites in West & East Flanders.
• Presence: Min 2 days/week on-site (100% full-time assignment).
