As a Technical Writer, you will join the Documentation team within the Innovation and Development department at our client located in Louvain-la-Neuve. You will generate and keep up-to-date high-quality technical documentation (Medical User Guide, System Description, System Maintenance Accelerator Operator's Guide, Installation manuals, and others).Your roleYou will perform an important role through a collaboration with a vast range of stakeholders within the organization, including but not limited to project engineers, architects, managers, scientists, and technicians to obtain a very good understanding of the products and the documentation requirements.Your skills:Master’s degree in engineering/sciences in electricity/electronics, electro-mechanical, biomedical, or physicsAt least 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer (or Scientific Writer)Excellent command of English;Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures according to the audienceGood level of abstraction to understand and maintain the information architecture of the manualsFocus on reuse and single-sourcing opportunitiesContinuous improvement mindset regarding the processes and technical writing-related mattersCritical thinking and curiosityAttention to editorial detailsAnalytical mind and a holistic view of looking at situationsStrong overall organization skills: able to plan efficiently and multi-taskGreat communication skills to facilitate day-to-day information exchange and foster trusting relationships with stakeholdersVery good knowledge of the Microsoft Office packageAdditional skills:You have proven writing skills, e.g., authored peer-reviewed articles You speak FrenchYou have knowledge of Medical Device RegulationsYou have experience with Author-it and Adobe FrameMaker toolsYou have experience with other authoring tools (Arbortext, Oxygen)Knowledge of the breakdown of product and construction of the documentations structureKnowledge of structured authoring language (XML, sGML)
