We are currently looking for a Senior Digital Business Analyst for a long-term freelance assignment with a client in the financial services sector.

The role combines business analysis, product discovery, digital transformation and data-driven decision-making, with a strong focus on customer needs, business value and digital solutions.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements.
• Identify customer needs, business objectives, pain points and opportunities.
• Manage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assess and recommend solutions considering business impact, customer value, cost, risks and feasibility.
• Lead discovery activities, including:
• Customer Journey Mapping
• Opportunity assessment
• Concept validation
• MVP definition
• Mock-ups
• Business case preparation
• Translate business requirements into detailed specifications for IT and delivery teams.
• Define and refine User Stories and perform User Story slicing.
• Facilitate workshops and support decision-making.
• Support testing activities and validate delivered solutions.
• Prepare presentations and communication materials for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business, product, process and technology teams in an Agile environment.

🧩 MUST-HAVE SKILLS

✅ Master’s degree – mandatory

✅ Senior experience in Business Analysis

✅ Strong experience in requirements gathering

✅ Business requirements documentation

✅ OKR definition

✅ Customer Journey Mapping

✅ User Story slicing

✅ Strong knowledge of BPMN

✅ Data analysis using Excel, Business Objects or equivalent tools

✅ Strong stakeholder management & stakeholder mapping

✅ Excellent communication and presentation skills

✅ Experience with Agile environments & digital transformation

✅ Experience building business cases from preparation to validation

✅ Strong workshop facilitation skills

✅ Experience with SharePoint and digital whiteboards

✅ Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Prince2 and/or PMP

✅ Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills

✅ Ability to perform cost-benefit, root cause and SWOT analyses

✅ Strong negotiation and influencing skills

🌟 NICE-TO-HAVE

• Experience in the financial services / banking sector
• Knowledge of lending products, daily banking, cards or other enterprise financial products
• Experience with concept design and UX testing
• Experience with Design Thinking, Innovation or Workshop Facilitation
• Relevant Business Analysis certifications
• Experience using data insights to optimize digital solutions and customer journeys
• Proficiency in both Dutch and French
