IT Support Specialist – Brussels Area

About the Role

A well-established company in the Brussels area is looking for an IT Support Specialist to strengthen its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site IT support, asset management, and end-user assistance, ensuring seamless IT operations at the head office. This role involves new hire onboarding, hardware and VIP user support, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including meeting room equipment.

IT Support - Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and track IT assets to ensure proper inventory and availability.
  • Prepare, stage, and deploy IT equipment for new employees, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Oversee the laptop replacement program, coordinating with staff and IT teams.
  • Provide technical support to head office employees, including VIP users.
  • Act as the on-site liaison with an external service desk vendor, ensuring follow-up on open tickets.
  • Assist with office expansions, acquisitions, and IT-related projects.
  • Monitor and escalate IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Manage the printer toner supply and ensure the proper functioning of office printers.
  • Oversee meeting room IT equipment, ensuring all systems are operational.

IT Support - Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to support senior-level staff and executives.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and bridge functional boundaries.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with an analytical approach to troubleshooting IT issues.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • A self-starter who thrives in both independent and team environments.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

IT Support - Required Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on IT support experience, particularly in asset management, IT troubleshooting, and corporate IT environments.
  • Familiarity with IT onboarding, hardware deployment, and end-user support.
  • Experience using IT ticketing systems for issue resolution.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); French and/or Dutch is an advantage.

  • Brussels Area
  • Onboarding phase of 3 months, then hybrid work
