Job Description:
  • We are currently seeking a new backend developer to join our existing team.
  • Your role will be to develop, with the team, the backend of our SaaS platform. To do this you will be required to handle several tasks such as:
    • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
    • Implement new features with automated tests
    • Troubleshoot the app and code issues
    • Maintain the existing code
    • Follow best practice guidelines

You will mainly focus on background jobs (queued messages) and API creation to be handled by the frontend (VueJS). You will also do some analytic jobs from time to time, following your experience.

This job will provide a great chance to experiment with emergent tools and concepts and develop innovative solutions that are at the forefront of the Digital Marketing industry. You will work on specific projects critical to the product's success – switch projects as you and our fast-paced company grow and evolve.

Responsibilities:
  • Research into new tools and technologies, products/frameworks that could benefit the construction of our platform.
  • Working on analysis, strategy, development, production, as well as contributing to the automation of deployments/configurations of code.
  • Ingesting data from various social and web sources (APIs, etc)
  • General collaborative duties such as agile method project management and code reviews
  • Build, administer and grow scalable applications
  • Creative developer and problem solver
  • Work in a small team environment with great possibilities to make development decisions that affect the future success of our company.
  • Code object-oriented (PHP + JS).
  • Think design patterns, SOLID, clean architecture.
  • Follow industry best practices (CI, TDD, PSR…).
  • Be agile-friendly (scrum,…) and embrace change.
  • Experience in Symfony, REST, PHPUnit, Behat, Composer, Git, MySQL.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Social Networks' APIs.
  • Familiar with recent developments in front-end technologies, ideally having experience in client-side JavaScript (Angular, React, Backbone).
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines.
  • Interest in open-source search engines such as Elasticsearch.
  • Strong interest in Big Data concepts and technologies.
