Job Description
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cloud & IoT Solution Architect to join their growing team. In this role, you will take the lead in designing, documenting, and visualizing the architecture of cutting-edge cloud services and IoT ecosystems. You will work closely with product development teams, coordinate with external partners, and ensure the end-to-end architecture aligns with the organization’s goals.

Your Role

  • Design and Documentation: Create, document, and visualize the architecture for cloud services and supporting tools.
  • Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with the product development team to ensure designs are supported and successfully implemented.
  • System Alignment: Ensure the end-to-end architecture of IoT systems is fully aligned across internal component teams.
  • Expert Coordination: Act as a trusted expert, coordinating with technology suppliers and implementation partners.
  • Risk Analysis: Evaluate risks and analyze the potential impacts of changes to the IoT ecosystem’s architecture.
Key TechnologiesThe role involves working with technologies such as:
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS (preferred), Azure (an asset).
  • Managed Services: New Relic, Kong, MongoDB, CDC, Kinesis, AWS IoT Core, AWS SageMaker.
  • Application Virtualization: EKS, Kubernetes.
  • DevOps Tools: Ansible, Terraform, and similar technologies.
Your ProfileOur client is looking for a candidate who combines technical expertise with strategic thinking and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree, with a strong foundation and passion for computer sciences.
  • Familiarity with the listed technologies—or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
  • Expert knowledge of at least one cloud platform (preferably AWS).
  • A deep understanding of IoT concepts, including communication with low-resource embedded devices.
  • Solid knowledge of microservice-based architectures using containerized applications.
  • Experience in API design and data modeling.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud security principles and practices.
  • A passion for staying current on industry trends and bringing innovation to the organization.
Experience
  • Several years of relevant business experience, demonstrating self-direction and the ability to bring structure to a fast-growing organization.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management or coordination skills to align and drive activities involving internal teams and external partners.
