ROBOT CASTING TECHNOLOGY R&D MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable R&D Manager with a technical background in Robot Casting Technology to join our team. The R&D Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and specialists in the development of new products and solutions, ensuring they are current with the most advanced R&D developments in the market.

  2. Specialized in robotics and complex systems integration

Your main responsibilities will be the following:

  1. Collaborate with the Technico-Commercial team to establish project goals and priorities
  2. Conduct preliminary R&D assessments based on product specifications and outsourced component specifications
  3. Develop research programs to improve existing products and study the potential of new products
  4. Design automation, mechanical and mechatronics solutions in accordance with technical specifications
  5. Manage the product validation process, defining simulation and testing protocols, and control procedures
  6. Manage trial or testing programs for products/solutions
  7. Mentor and manage a team of R&D engineers (8 people), monitoring team metrics and objectives to ensure meeting of goals
  8. Assess the scope of research projects and ensure they are on time and within budget
  9. Manage customer relationships and perform Product development reviews, customer visits, and product testing
  10. Transfer new technologies, products, and manufacturing processes and documentation to the Engineering team once NPI process is completed
  11. Maintain efficient and dynamic collaboration with other technical entities
  12. Drive new products development and new products introductions (NPI) by leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists

Votre profil

Master in Mechanical engineering with 7 to 10 years of experience in the robotic world, you present relevant technical skills:

  1. Good knowledge in Automation Field instrumentation: Sensors, actuators, IO checks
  2. Good knowledge in Mechanics, Hydraulics & Pneumatics Design
  3. Expert in project management field
  4. Process simulation including interfacing between Robots & PLC's (Kuka Sim / TIA PLCsim)
  5. Good knowledge in Machine, Process and People safety

But you also present soft skills such as:

  1. Leadership skills to manage and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists
  2. Result-oriented mindset
  3. Capacity of overseeing an entire development process
  4. Keen attention to details
  5. Decision-making skills
  6. Excellent communication skills in English

You are open to travel internationally (15 to 20% of time maximum)
