The role is central to the organization’s data engineering, data science, and business teams, with a strong focus on scalability, governance, and strategic alignment. Responsibilities Define and drive the data strategy, aligning architecture with long-term business objectives. Design and optimize scalable data architectures to support analytics, AI, and operational needs. Establish standards for data modeling, quality, security, and performance, including governance principles. Provide technical oversight and promote best practices across data engineering and science teams. Ensure architectural consistency and system integrity throughout implementation. Collaborate with stakeholders to balance ideal architecture with operational and budget constraints. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer with architectural responsibilities (5–8 years). Expertise in data architecture (Data Warehouse, Data Lake) and dimensional modeling for relational databases. Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure), Python, SQL optimization, GDPR compliance, and DevOps/DataOps principles. Strategic vision and ability to anticipate future data needs and align with business goals. Excellent communication skills in French, Dutch, and English, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Analytical and pragmatic mindset with a focus on actionable solutions.
