Are you a seasoned Customs professional with a passion for global trade?Do you thrive in building processes, solving complex customs challenges, and guiding clients through compliance across Belgium and the EU?The RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Customs Associate to join our team and help shape Flexport’s customs operations in Antwerp, Belgium.In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced customs professionals, help onboard new clients, build operational processes, and lead high-level discussions on classification, origin, and valuation.The companyGlobal logistics and freight-forwarding company moving $19B+ of goods annually across 112 countries3,000+ employees across 14 offices and warehousesBacked by leading investors and growing rapidlyMission-driven: simplifying global trade to create a real-world impactAntwerp officeWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum 5 years of experience in customs & forwarding, with strong knowledge of the Belgium customs marketHands-on experience completing customs declarations and using customs software (bonus if you know AEB)Expertise in classification, origin, valuation, and the EU tariff systemTrack record of building processes, implementing new ideas, and improving operational efficiencyStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsProblem solver mindset with the courage to challenge the status quoFluent in English, Dutch is a plusYour Day-to-DayComplete Belgium customs declarations accurately and efficientlyOnboard new clients and develop operational SOPsMentor and guide new hires in the customs teamCollaborate with sales teams to provide high-level customs guidance to prospective clientsContribute to projects building new tech, service offerings, and workflowsIdentify operational inefficiencies and implement solutionsLead discussions with clients on complex customs topicsWhat’s in It for YouCompetitive salary (up to 70k) + benefitsEquity program: become a shareholder in a fast-growing private companyDaily catered lunches, breakfast, snacks, and drinks in the officeCovered home-office commuting costs for employees outside Amsterdam25 vacation days per year (full-time)Health insurance fully paid by companyDefined pension contribution schemeParental leave and Employee Assistance ProgramCar allowance
