As Warehouse Planner, you will be responsible for the daily planning and coordination of warehouse activities. You ensure that processes run efficiently and that the availability of resources and personnel is guaranteed. As a colleague, you are a versatile logistics employee who is responsible for handling and dispatching goods within a predetermined timeframe. You will play a crucial role in the transition to a new, larger facility and in modernizing our working methods.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, handling and coordinating incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Registering orders and creating necessary documents in the proprietary shipping package.
  • Transfer of export files to the declaration department for preparation of customs documents.
  • Process optimisation: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implementing more efficient working methods.
  • Communication: Collaborate to improve operational efficiency.
  • Written and telephone communication with customers, agents, carriers and colleagues (other departments).
  • Preparation for relocation: Actively contribute to the preparation and execution of the move to the new facility.
  • Reporting: Preparation of reports on performance and progress within the warehouse.

Requirements

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in logistics, transport management or a related field or equal by experience.
  • Experience: Experience in the logistics sector, preferably as warehouse planner.
  • Language skills: Excellent knowledge of Dutch, French, and English is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organisational skills, problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills.
  • Focus on Process Improvement: Strong interest and experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the transport operations.
  • Computer skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with WMS is a plus.
  • Customer focus: Strong customer-oriented attitude with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
  • Resilience: Able to face challenges, especially in an environment with outdated technologies.
