Freelance Data Scientist – 12-Month Contract - BelgiumWe're currently supporting a large Financial organisation in Belgium that's looking to bring in an experienced freelance Data Scientist for a 12-month assignment.This role sits within an established data environment and focuses on turning complex data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making. You'll work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders in a collaborative, agile setting.What you'll be doingAnalysing large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insightsBuilding and validating predictive and statistical modelsCollaborating with data engineers on data pipelines and feature engineeringTranslating business needs into data-driven solutionsCommunicating insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiencesContinuously improving models and analytical approachesWhat we're looking forSolid experience as a Data Scientist in a complex or enterprise environmentStrong skills in Python (and/or R) and SQLExperience with machine learning and statistical modellingComfortable working with large datasetsConfident communicator who enjoys working with stakeholdersExperience working in agile teamsNice to haveExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with MLOps or model deploymentBackground in regulated or large-scale organisationsContract detailsDuration: 12 monthsEngagement: Freelance / B2BLocation: Belgium (hybrid or on-site depending on project needs)Start: FlexibleIf you're a Data Scientist looking for a long-term freelance project with stability, scale, and impact - let's talk.Message me directly or comment below for more details.
