Our team of mechanical and aftersales experts built, through the last 10 years, a service level quality that we are all proud of.In order to strengthen our Logistics department with additional expertise, we are currently looking for a "Senior Logistics Officer" for our office in Antwerp.ResponsibilitiesThe “Senior Shipping & Export Officer” is mainly responsible for arranging and scheduling transportation of equipment while optimizing service and cost for goods / merchandise. This is an individual role, operating in full autonomy for several countries.You are responsible for the entire process, from launching pickings, to invoicing, to following all applicable export rules and regulations, booking transport and following up until arrival of the goods in Africa.Oversee and coordinate the movement of goods or equipment including the pre-delivery checks and keep clients informed of progress ;Prepare complex export documentation and ensure equipment has been duly checked on quality and conformity prior to shipping ;Solve import / export issues in close cooperation with customers and sales teamsDefine the most cost-effective transport type and negotiate arrangements with carriers to ensure timely shipping to customers ;Assess duty and tariffs amounts for shipments and ensure that logistics activities comply with the applicable legislation and regulations, making suggestion to improve shipping processes or optimize costs.ProfileYou hold a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent by experience ;Previous experience in handling international shipments ;Ability to work in ERP systems and Microsoft based programs, mainly Outlook and Excel ;You're fluent in Dutch or French with strong command of English ;Knowledge of Incoterms, credit letters and transport documentation ;Organized with good time management, multi-tasking ;Good problem solver and ability to deal with complexity ;Deadline oriented and able to work under pressure ;Team player and Cost conscious.OfferA salary in line with your experience and achievement as well as extra-legal benefits (group insurance, hospitalization insurance, luncheon vouchers, representation allowances, …) ;A real opportunity to enhance your experience and develop your skills ;A function with an international influence that combines autonomy and initiative ;A framework with a human dimension and a dynamic corporate culture, voluntary and ambitious, where team spirit, customer satisfaction, flexibility and the quality of its services are recognized as its main values.
