In close cooperation with our customers, Bruker is enabling innovation, improved productivity, and customer success in post-genomic life science molecular and cell biology research, in applied and biopharma applications, in microscopy and nanoanalysis, as well as in industrial and cleantech research, and next-gen semiconductor metrology in support of AI. Bruker offers differentiated, high-value life science and diagnostics systems and solutions in preclinical imaging, clinical phenomics research, proteomics and multiomics, spatial and single-cell biology, functional structural and condensate biology, as well as in clinical microbiology and molecular diagnostics.
Responsibilities- Installation of FT-IR / FT-NIR / Raman systems or accessories at customer facilities and ensure full functionality according to specifications.
- Repair and maintenance of the products at customer's site.
- Familiarize and train customers for operation of the equipment, including software training and calibration modelling
- Secure customer acceptance of installation and repair sign-off.
- Serve as a supportive and effective communication link between the customer and company to ensure customer service satisfaction.
- Periodic servicing of the product at customer's location depending upon the service contract.
- Be in constant touch with customers through phone or other means of correspondence to inquire if they needs any additional services.
- Solve any queries the customer might have about the product.
- Maintain records of all the field trips made, products sold, and services offered in a proper documented form.
- Networking of analysis instruments with optional software solutions and their implementation into existing laboratory information systems
- Engineering degree in electrical or electronic engineering, physics, chemistry or a related discipline
- Alternatively, a similar level of knowledge and skill gained by practical experience
- Minimum 5 years work experience diagnosing and repairing analytical instruments, scientific instruments, electromechanical and/or electronic equipment
- Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation
- Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to inquiries, communicate and interact with customers
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines within an entrepreneurial and customer-focused work environment
- Good networking and team working skills
- Expertise in FT-IR spectroscopy, NIR, Raman technology, Remote Sensing, Microscopy and laboratory organization is an advantage
- Good Dutch and English skills (verbal and written) are mandatory, French is an advantage
- Willing to travel approx. 70% of time
