About the Job

Konvert is looking for electromechanic technicians to strengthen the team at Unilin Wielsbeke in 5 shifts. At this site, floor coverings are produced.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. With your sharp diagnostic skills, you track down the cause of electromechanical malfunctions in the machinery. It is your mission to solve the problems and bring the machines back to life
  2. Preventive maintenance is your secret weapon for reliable and powerful machines. You make sure they are always in top condition.
  3. You identify opportunities to increase efficiency and implement innovative changes.
  4. Your talent for detail is unmatched. You accurately keep detailed documentation of all your maintenance and repair work. Every screw, wire, and adjustment is carefully documented.

Schedule in 5 Shifts:

  1. Week 1: Monday to Friday: morning shift: 05h00-13h00 // Saturday and Sunday rest
  2. Week 2: Monday to Friday: night shift: 21h00-05h00 // Saturday and Sunday rest
  3. Week 3: Saturday and Sunday: weekend night shift: 17h00-05h00 // Monday to Friday rest
  4. Week 4: Monday to Wednesday: afternoon shift: 13h00-21h00 + Saturday and Sunday weekend day shift: 05h00-17h00 // Thursday and Friday rest
  5. Week 5: Thursday and Friday afternoon shift 13h00-21h00 // Monday to Wednesday + Saturday and Sunday rest

  1. Collaboration is your second nature. You will work hand in hand with other technicians and departments to ensure the production flow runs smoothly.
  2. A degree in a technical field or similar level of knowledge and experience. We believe in the power of experience and talent, so if you can demonstrate you have the skills, a degree is just the beginning of your story.
  3. Your communication skills are as sharp as your technical skills. You are able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing in English at start-up. When you start, you will immediately be enrolled in our Dutch language training and classes.

What Do We Offer?

  1. Base salary from €18.60/hr (negotiable according to experience) + full-continuous bonus. Working less must translate into lower salary? No way We require some flexibility but this is more than compensated by the attractive salary package.
  2. In a five-shift system, there are fewer working days than in any other shift system. So a lot of extra free time.
  3. Whereas other companies offer a full-time system where you work 7 consecutive days, at this company you work a maximum of 5 consecutive days.
  4. The number of working weekends at 2 out of 5 is also perfectly balanced. Moreover, the favourable sequence of shifts ensures that you have sufficient rest between alternating shifts.
