In Elia's Engineering Department four positions play a crucial role:

• Our Program Managers lead and manage project groups to ensure on-time and on-budget infrastructure investments, in line with our broader strategy.
• Our Project Leaders ensure flawless execution of individual projects.
• The Program & Project Management Office provides support and advice.
• Our Expert Teams centralise standards and technologies for future infrastructure developments.

The Assets Department is essential to our core businesses, with teams focusing on the operation, management and maintenance of the grid infrastructure. Safety is our absolute top priority. They are available 24/7, take on board new technologies and lead digitalisation and sustainability. Our dedicated employees manage the full life cycle of assets on the high-voltage grid while optimising risks and costs and the impact on the system and the environment.

• Asset Managers and Experts establish technical concepts as well as maintenance and replacement guidelines.
• Maintenance Managers organise and plan the maintenance and commissioning of new facilities.
• Programme Managers lead innovation and change projects.
• Operations Engineers manage the operational teams.

Our NCC (National Control Center) is looking for passionate and flexible (Real-time / Close-to-Real-time / Market) System Engineers. In a dynamic energy landscape – featuring an exponential increase in installed renewable energy, along with many new market players and new technologies on our HV grid – you will play a crucial role 24/7/365 in maintaining grid safety and security of supply.

The following success factors are critically important:

• Maintaining a helicopter view of Elia's grid operations
• Collaborating with various departments
• Focusing on various tasks and processes, such as grid simulations, market facilitation and monitoring, capacity calculations for the various electricity markets, etc.

Or how about a challenging engineering job as a member of Elia's Customers, Markets & System (CMS) team? This team plays a key role in facilitating the market and is responsible for, among other things, providing numerous support services for grid operation (balancing reserves, blackstart, purchase of losses, etc.) and for performing various tasks pertaining to market mechanisms to ensure security of supply (such as the capacity remuneration mechanism (CRM)).

The CMS team is looking for:

• (Extra-high-voltage) Grid Developers, who design and develop electrical energy systems and networks for optimal power distribution.
• Market Implementation & Operations Managers, who manage the implementation and operational aspects of energy markets and ensure efficient electricity flows.
