Freelance Business Controller – Brussels (Hybrid) | 12-Month+ Contract Location: Brussels, Belgium Start Date: October 2025 Contract Length: Minimum 12 months (extension likely) Working Model: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) Languages: Fluency in one of Dutch, French, or English is required About the Opportunity: We are working with a well-established manufacturing organisation in Brussels that is looking to hire an experienced Business Controller on a long-term contract basis. This role offers the chance to join a dynamic team and make a measurable impact from day one. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and brings strong experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP and Microsoft Dynamics. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and report financial and operational data to support strategic decision-making Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance using SAP and Microsoft Dynamics Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards for internal reporting Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance Support month-end and year-end closing processes Continuously improve controlling processes with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and transparency Key Skills & Experience: 5-7 years of experience as a Business Controller or in a similar financial controlling role Strong practical experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP and Microsoft Dynamics Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions and data analysis Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Results-driven, independent, and proactive mindset Fluency in at least one of the following languages: Dutch, French, or English (mandatory) Comfortable working with IT systems and adapting to new tools quickly Collaborative approach, with strong communication skills for working with stakeholders across departments
