As our platform grows, we are expanding our engineering team with a Senior Developer who loves solving complex problems, designing elegant systems, and building high-quality software.Your ImpactAs a Senior Developer, you will help shape the technical foundation of Docbyte Vault. You'll work closely with our CTO to design and build:high-performance backend servicessecure and scalable APIsdata structures for long-term preservationworkflows for timestamping, integrity checks and retentionfeatures used by Europe's most regulated industriesThis is a role with real autonomy, architectural influence, and end-to-end ownership.What You'll DoDevelop backend or fullstack features for Docbyte VaultContribute to architecture alongside the CTOImprove performance, security and reliabilityWrite clean, testable, maintainable codeMentor other developers and raise engineering standardsWork with the Product Owner to translate requirements into clear technical deliverablesCollaborate with QA and DevOps to strengthen the CI/CD pipelineResearch new technologies that can improve our product offeringWho You Are5+ years experience as a backend or fullstack developerStrong in JavaExperience with REST APIs, databases (MongoDB preferred), CI/CD, DockerYou enjoy diving into complex systems and designing elegant solutionsYou can think long-term while remaining pragmaticYou communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with product and engineeringYou are fluent in English (Dutch is a strong plus)Nice-to-have:Experience with cryptography, integrity, or digital preservationExperience in regulated environments (finance, healthcare, pharma, insurance)Familiarity with distributed systems or event-driven architecturesWhy Join Us?Work on one of the most intellectually interesting engineering challenges: preserving digital evidence over decadesCollaborate directly with the CTO and influence architectural decisionsJoin a growing SaaS company with international ambitionsHybrid work environment with autonomy and responsibilityContribute to a platform with real societal impact: legal certainty, digital trust and long-term complianceReady to build the future of digital trust?Send your CV to recruitment@docbyte.com.We'd love to meet you.
