We’re looking for a strategic, AI specialist, and experienced Senior Game Economist to design and optimize the in‑game economy across both Web2 and Web3 layers. You’ll be responsible for the structure and balance of economic systems, directly influencing progression, monetization and long‑term player engagement, all while embracing the power of AI to unlock smarter and more adaptive economies. All the Responsibilities We’ll Trust You With You’ll drive the design and balance of the game’s economy, including virtual currencies, pricing, rewards, and progression loops. You’ll use AI‑enhanced modeling and analysis to forecast economic shifts, balance systems, and forecast high‑impact game design decisions. You’ll design and manage token supply, sinks, and utility to ensure long‑term sustainability and prevent economic instability. You’ll model macroeconomic scenarios, anticipating how exchange trading and liquidity events affect in‑game behaviors and token valuation. You’ll develop strategies for a healthy economy, preventing hyperinflation, deflation, or exploitative loops. You’ll develop simulations and predictive models to actively anticipate the impact of content changes. You’ll observe individual and overall player progression and balances to maintain the stability of the game’s economy. You’ll craft and refine gameplay loops and determine how players engage with them. You’ll enhance content performance through the creation and analysis of A/B tests. You’ll proactively identify and resolve balance issues in both the in‑game and token economies using AI‑powered insights to improve engagement, retention, monetization, and ecosystem health. What You’ll Bring to the Team A minimum of 5 years’ experience in crafting free‑to‑play game economies and monetization models. Strong understanding of both player‑driven closed economies and open, market‑influenced token ecosystems. Proficiency in economic modeling and forecasting using tools like Excel, SQL, Python/R. Bonus points for experience with AI tools, simulation engines, or LLM‑based assistants. Proven experience in economic modeling and quantitative analysis. Deep understanding of game mechanics, complemented by a passion for gaming. Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle complex economic challenges. Superior teamwork skills for effective collaboration within diverse teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to align product, design, marketing, and finance teams around economic decisions and clearly explain complex systems to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
