With a strong emphasis on data-centricity , you will ensure that critical data is delivered to the right consumers, at the right time and place. Operating in a defense context, your solutions must also uphold the highest standards for handling classified information and maintaining strict security and privacy compliance . Reporting to both the Project Manager and R&D Manager, you will play a key role in shaping a resilient and future-proof data infrastructure that meets both technical and operational demands. Key responsibilities Design the architecture for various platform components, including integration processes, data lakes, data warehouses, secure environments, data catalogs, and advanced analytics solutions (AI, machine learning). Lead the definition of conceptual data models and ensure seamless implementation across the technical architecture. Establish master data management (MDM) processes and ensure optimal repository management. Oversee the selection of appropriate tools and technologies for data acquisition, storage, quality management, and visualization, ensuring scalability in cloud or on- premise environments. Define and implement strategies for backup, archiving, and disaster recovery based on both business needs and cost optimization. Ensure that the proposed architecture complies with data security, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and is well-documented. Coaching & Mentoring – Guides and inspires others to enhance quality awareness and precision in their work Technical Competencies Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data architecture. Proven experience in designing and implementing data warehouses and analytical platforms. Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and experience developing conceptual data models. Familiarity with data security practices and GDPR compliance. Experience with cloud data solutions and the ability to develop strategies for migrating components to cloud environments. Hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and preferably SAS.
