As a technician in our hotel, you have a direct impact on increasing guest and employee satisfaction.
Your main tasks & responsibilities include:
- Responding and attending to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.
- Performing preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Keeping maintenance inventory and requisitioning parts and supplies as needed.
- Performing all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
- Keeping the working environment clean and tidy.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and performing basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunging toilets and unclogging drains), electrical components including lamps, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, and replacing electrical switches and outlets.
- Using the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Performing repairs on interior and exterior landscaping.
- Following all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
- Adhering to quality expectations and standards.

Basic computer skills are needed.
Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building.
This is a guest-facing position. We are looking for a person who can welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. He/She can anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Fluency in both English and/or French is an asset.
Strong understanding of engineering and maintenance.
Technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
Candidate profile:
Education and Experience:
- School degree ETSS, ETSI or Technical professional in electricity/building related and/or 4 years experience in maintenance or a professional related area; HVAC/electrical/plumbing/painting/carpentry.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to always work on behalf of Guests.
- Demonstrated ability to work with other Team Members.
- Successful track record of working in a collaborative/matrixed environment.
