What the key tasks will look likeAs aMember of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) Office, you will report to the DPO and assist alongside the team and other stakeholders in the oversight and management of the organization’s data privacy program. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the further elaboration of the DPO monitoring plan and ensuring resulting actions are documented and communicated to the business.
- Assisting Business Owners in keeping the Register of Processing Activities (RoPA) complete and up-to-date.
- Monitoring the effective execution of handling individual requests (Data Subject Right Requests) and complaints related to personal data.
- Monitoring the assessment, investigation, and handling of personal data breaches.
- Advising on data privacy-related projects and conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Ensuring Data Protection Agreements (DPAs) are duly signed with third parties and monitoring periodic audits.
- Assisting in maintaining an ongoing risk assessment program targeting privacy matters.
- Overseeing the Data Protection Management Framework and monitoring documentation and implementation.
- Conducting education, training, and awareness programs for employees.
- Establishing a Data Privacy Organization through collaboration with other departments.
- Following up on internal or external audit initiatives.
- Keeping track of regulatory requirements related to privacy and data practices.
- Supporting regular Data Protection Officer reporting requirements to management.
- You have a master’s degree in law and a CIPP/M certification (or motivation to achieve within a reasonable time) withminimum 5 years experience in the domain of data privacy.
- You are acquainted with Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) or privacy-related tools (e.g., RSA Archer, OneTrust).
- You are a sociable communicator, proficient in French, Dutch, and English.
- You excel in stakeholder management with a strong business orientation.
- You are creative, solution-oriented, and have experience in process automation.
- You can work autonomously while demonstrating team spirit and adaptability.
- You build trust and show integrity by listening carefully and following up on your commitments.
