As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Validation Officer / Technician who is passionate about laboratory work, values accuracy and compliance, and enjoys translating experimental activities into robust and well-documented processes.

You will combine practical laboratory activities with validation and documentation responsibilities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the establishment and the regular updating of technical documentation.
• Plan and perform validation protocols for new and existing products.
• Execute laboratory activities and testing required to support validation studies, ensuring accurate and reliable data generation.
• Analyze validation data and generate comprehensive reports.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to validation and ensure updates are available.
• Participate in investigations, risk assessments, and change control activities.
• Stay up to date with evolving regulatory guidelines and industry best practices related to validation in the biotechnology sector.
• Collaborate closely with Production, QC, and R&D teams to support validation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

LaCAR is a fast-growing biotech company developing, producing, and commercializing CE-IVD diagnostic kits for (pharmaco) genetics and newborn screening. Our headquarters are located in the Liège Science Park (Belgium), and we serve customers worldwide.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Bachelor or master's degree in science or engineering discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biotechnologies, Chemical Engineering)
• Proven experience in validation activities within the biotechnology industry (experience in R&D is a plus)
• Technical skills on immunoassays, molecular biology and/or mass spectrometry
• Knowledge on regulated environments (ISO 13485 / IVDR / FDA)
• Strong analytical skills, well organized, studious, and precise
• You enjoy managing documentation: creating, reviewing and updating documents, and follow-up on their approval
• Advanced level of English (at least B2) for daily professional communication
