Azure Cloud Engineer We're seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, scalability, and security across our Azure ecosystem, supporting both greenfield projects and post-merger integration efforts. You will work closely with our Architecture, Application and Security team to ensure our cloud platforms are robust, automated, and aligned with business goals. ** Applicants must be living in Belgium with right to work **** No Sponsorship ** Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Engineering • Review Solution Designs and implement scalable, secure, and resilient Azure infrastructure • Lead migration of legacy workloads to Azure using best practices • Optimize performance, cost, and resource utilization across environments Automation & DevOps Enablement • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Bicep • Integrate CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps • Automation for provisioning, monitoring, and patching Post-Merger Integration Support • Consolidate Azure environments across merged entities • Align identity, access, and resource management strategies • Standardize cloud operations and documentation Operational Support & Reliability • Provide L3 support for cloud infrastructure incidents and escalations • Monitor system health and performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics • Implement proactive maintenance, patching, and backup strategies Desired experience: • 4 - 7 years in cloud engineering or operations, preferably in Azure • Any experience with Microsoft Sentinel or similar SIEM's (nice to have not essential)• Strong understanding of firewall technologies and network protocols (preferred)• Experience in M&A or multi-tenant cloud environments is a plus • Excellent communication and documentation skills Soft Skills • M&A Experience: Prior involvement in post-merger IT/security integration • Stakeholder Communication: Ability to translate technical risks into business impact • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid methodologies • Security Governance & Compliance: Understanding of ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR (nice to have not essential) Preferred Certifications • AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert • AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate • AZ-700: Azure Network Engineer Associate • Terraform Associate or equivalent
