Summit Careers is looking for a Tax Specialist for a renowned chemical multinational North of Ghent. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing corporate tax matters and ensuring compliance with local regulations. You will work closely with the corporate tax manager on international tax issues across jurisdictions. This position offers excellent growth potential, with the opportunity to progress into the role of Corporate Tax Manager in the mid to long term. Your responsibilities include: In collaboration with the corporate tax manager, you will work on tax compliance, risk management, and global tax projects to optimize the company’s tax position and minimize risks. You will be involved in developing and implementing strategies for tax incentives and supporting due diligence processes by analyzing tax implications of potential transactions. You will serve as the central point of contact for all tax-related matters, coordinating between internal teams, external advisors, and regulatory bodies. You will lead local tax audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to VAT filings, customs duties, and trade compliance across jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to regulations. Profile: Master degree in accounting/tax Relevant experience in corporate tax Background within the Big 4 is considered an asset A personality that is autonomous and thrives in a constantly evolving business environment. Driven by curiosity and a desire to improve, you will take ownership of your projects and continuously strive to make an impact. Fluency in Dutch and English What's in it for you?
