Smals realiseert innovatieve ICT-projecten in e-government en e-health voor instellingen uit de sociale zekerheid en de gezondheidszorg. 'ICT for society' is voor Smals meer dan een slogan: alle projecten hebben een positieve maatschappelijke impact. Zo bouwt Smals mee aan het portaal van de sociale zekerheid en het eHealth-platform. Grensverleggende projecten zijn ons werkterrein: Student@Work, Orgadon, digitalisering van medische voorschriften, raadpleging van de historiek van je loopbaan, snellere doorstroming van testresultaten naar je huisarts...Als Solution Architect ben je verantwoordelijk voor het uittekenen en bewaken van de architecturale, functionele en technische concepten. Je stelt architecturale plannen op en actualiseert ze, waarbij reuse centraal staat. Je bepaalt de ontwikkelingsstandaarden en het algemene technische kader. Je draagt bij aan de ontwikkeling van een strategische architecturale visie voor ICT en werkt nauw samen met de Enterprise Architect. Je werkt op een overkoepelende manier aan diverse toepassingen en projecten, waarbij je erover waakt dat de IT-governanceregels voor softwareontwikkeling optimaal ge ntegreerd worden in de projectteams. Je adviseert projectleiders, analisten en architecten, en fungeert als coach voor Java-ontwikkelaars. Je neemt deel aan de meetings van de Solution Architecture Board en geeft architecten feedback op de voorgestelde architectuur, en je ondersteunt bij implementaties. Je komt elk kwartaal samen met je collega's om nieuwe ontwikkelingen te delen in de Architecten Community. Je krijgt ook de kans om voortdurend je kennis bij te spijkeren met opleidingen. - Je beschikt over een universitair diploma en hebt minstens 8 jaar ervaring als Architect of Lead Developer in zowel client/server als web-based in het Java-ecosysteem en aanverwante technologieën zoals JavaScript, Spring Boot, SQL, REST en OAuth2. - Je hebt een grondige kennis van component based ontwikkeling, eventdriven en microservice-architectuur voor een cloud based omgeving. - Je bent vertrouwd met belangrijke concepten zoals CI/CD, Test Driven Development en DevOps. - Je hebt ruime ervaring met modelleringsstandaarden zoals UML, Archimate, C4 en TOGAF. - Je bent creatief, gepassioneerd en brengt vernieuwende ideeën aan. Je hebt een sterke drive om je kennis uit te breiden, nieuwe inzichten op te doen en blijft op de hoogte van de nieuwste IT-markttrends. - Je bent communicatief sterk en werkt graag in teamverband. Je kan je bij voorkeur uitdrukken in het Nederlands en je hebt minstens een passieve kennis van het Frans of het Engels. - Je bent zelfstandig, neemt initiatief en je boekt kwalitatieve resultaten. - Je krijgt een gevarieerde, uitdagende en maatschappelijk relevante job waarbij je bijdraagt aan IT-oplossingen die een belangrijke rol spelen in de samenleving.
