Test Automation Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
• Create and execute automated test cases using Robot Framework.
• Develop reusable test scripts and testing utilities using Python.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyse test results, identify defects, and provide detailed reporting.
• Contribute to test framework enhancements and automation best practices.
• Support release activities and ensure quality standards are met across all environments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the software testing and QA processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Test Automation Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Robot Framework.
• Strong Python scripting and automation development skills.
• Experience automating API and web application testing.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience within the Energy & Banking sector.
