Purpose of the Position
The Airworthiness Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating the Continuing Airworthiness Management of the entire Air Belgium aircraft fleet. The primary responsibility is to ensure that the fleet adheres to an accurate and optimal Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP), ensuring all maintenance operations align with Air Belgium's goals of delivering reliable and efficient services.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
- Produce and review the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP), including integrating new proposals, amendments, and requirements (MRB/MPD/STC, etc.), and obtaining NCAA approval.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on Continuing Airworthiness matters to the CAMO team, ensuring high-quality compliance and best practices.
- Manage technical projects related to aircraft phase-in/out, modifications, etc., ensuring smooth transitions and minimal operational impact.
- Study changes in Authority (NAA) requirements and applicable legislation, ensuring the maintenance schedule is continually developed and technical data is accurately maintained.
- Optimise maintenance processes to maximise aircraft availability within the allocated budget while maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.
- Ensure the implementation of required actions from Reliability Reports to improve fleet performance.
- Act as the primary contact for the National Aviation Authority (NAA) on AMP approvals, ramp checks, ARC reviews, and escalations.
- Serve as the focal person with expertise on the CAMO-dependent Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Act in accordance with company procedures and recommend improvements to optimise workflows.
- Monitor the performance of engineering suppliers in terms of cost, quality, and service, ensuring corrective actions are taken as necessary.
- Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of dispatch reliability for the Air Belgium aircraft fleet.

Education Requirements and Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a CAMO environment.
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programmes and concepts.
- Previous experience with Boeing or Airbus aircraft is advantageous.
- Good knowledge of Part M regulatory requirements; knowledge of Part 21 regulations is an asset.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong ability to analyse issues, propose improvements, take initiatives, and provide solutions.
- Project management experience is beneficial.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure.
